Income and Expenditure Analysis

Local authorities must have adequate resources to fulfil their mandate. According to our Citizens perceptions and expectations (CPE) survey (2019), 41.92% of the respondents felt that councils are inhibited from adequately performing due to inadequate financial resources. In this instance, we analyse how financial resources have been allocated towards the following:

• Improved water provision/ delivery
• Refuse collection
• Primary Health Care
